Executive Chef

Our client a private catering company based near Aldershot, Hampshire are looking for a strong Executive Chef to help lead and motivate their current team.

They offer high quality fine dining food to the aviation sector.

The role of the Executive Chef is to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the kitchen to achieve the highest standard of food production. To manage the day-to-day activities of the Sous Chefs, Chef de Partie’s, Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.

The Executive Chef will control and manage the food cost in line with the budget, source ingredients in accordance with the Company’s sourcing policy and take responsibility for ensuring that only the highest possible standards are maintained when it comes to food quality in preparation, presentation and packing.

This role is a senior role within the company, which will require at least 50% of the working day away from the kitchen, performing kitchen management and administrative tasks. Therefore, the Head Chef must demonstrate that in addition to the required culinary skills required, they also possess the relevant man management and administrative skills required for the role.

The Executive Chef will drive the development of new dishes and techniques ensuring that the brief is fulfilled and the company’s ethos of culinary excellence is maintained. The Executive Head Chef will also need to keep on top of food trends as our clients will usually have experienced contemporary fine dining on a regular basis.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
*Culinary and or catering/hospitality qualification such as degree or diploma or similar (essential)
*Food hygiene diploma and or food science technology qualification
*Intermediate HACCP qualification or equivalent (desirable)
*Management/Leadership qualification an advantage
*Extensive experience in managing a food manufacturing department
*Qualified Chef with global food experience preferable with inflight catering
*Extensive experience in managing teams within the food industry
*Experience of managing budgets, financial and performance targets
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Good interpersonal skills
*Excellent leadership skills
*Innovative and pro-active thinker, creative with the ability to develop a concept through to design and development for production delivery
*Customer focused
*Excellent presentation skills

The working Schedule is 5 days over 7, straight shifts, with on average 2 weekends off per month.

Customer Service Representative

Our client a catering company near Aldershot, Hampshire are looking for a Customer Service Representative with a hospitality background.

Their purpose is to be the brand that delivers the world’s finest and most innovative dining experience.

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, for operational and customer service issues. The role of the Customer Service Representative is to take full responsibility for all aspects of taking, processing and delivering their products and services to their customers. Being the face of the company and being professional and courteous at all times. Using the resources and team available to you, you will ultimately be accountable for ensuring that the orders placed by their customers are fulfilled to the specification that has been requested and delivered at the time stated. This includes ensuring that the team delivers the highest level of customer service to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Job Accountabilities:
General responsibilities and accountabilities include, but not limited to:
*Overall accountability for the taking of orders from customers via email and phone, processing through liaison with kitchen staff and coordinating the delivery of food and concierge to the specific requirements stated by our customers
*Communicating courteously with customers by telephone, email and face to face
*Providing help and advice to customers in regards to order queries
*Apply departmental upsell process to ensure every order profit opportunity has been realized
*Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers; this includes follow up phone calls after every order, recording all feedback and maintaining client preference records.
*Manage and handle funds process to ensure collections of funds is undertaken in a timely manner by the team including the issuing of refunds or compensation to customers
*Coordinate, administrate and set up company tastings and food demonstrations including preparation of the tasting room
*Deliver the client experience and product in accordance with the daily requirement
*Collection/Drop off runs for concierge services locally and nationally
*Load and unload delivery vehicles for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport
*Maintain the fleet through daily, weekly and monthly checks
*Assisting with records for stock, deliveries for the company documentation purposes
*Commercial awareness
