Our client is a recently fully refurbished independent Pub near Alton, Hampshire and they are looking for a talented Head Chef to lead and manage the Kitchen operation.
The Pub is a destination Pub serving modern European Food created from fresh seasonal produce. The Pub has around 70 covers inside and around 30 outside. It currently has a great reputation for fantastic food and service. This is an amazing opportunity for a Head Chef who really wants to make their mark, create their own menus, work with fresh produce and help the business grow.
Key responsibilities as Head Chef include:
-Maintaining high food hygiene levels while always adhering to food safety regulations.
-managing the kitchen team and running all aspects of the kitchen
-Preparing for service and helping to run a smooth service
-delivering exceptional financial performance for the kitchen
-Completing daily invoices
-Stock control, dealing with suppliers and deliveries
-Creating seasonal menus and costing them
-Food and labour budgets are controlled
-Focused on delivering amazing fresh food daily
As the Head Chef you will have a wealth of experience, ambition and passion to bring to the role. You will have previous experience working with fresh food at Head Chef level or be a Senior Sous Chef looking for your next step. You must show progression in your career history as well as good length of service. Due to the location you must have your own transport.
This Head Chef position pays a Salary of up to £40K plus Gratuities (£3K minimum) and Bonus.
