Our client, a beautiful golf club in Leatherhead, Surrey are currently looking to recruit their Sous Chef.
In the clubhouse they cater for breakfast, lunch, snacks and society dinners. As well as this a key feature of the business is the function trade which ranges from wedding receptions through to conferences for up to 150 as well as Sunday lunches. You will be working with the Head Chef, overseeing a further 2 chefs and managing the kitchen in the head chefs absence. As the Sous Chef you will be responsible for preparing and cooking from fresh produce, assisting with menus, training and leading the team, food safety, stock control and ordering.
– applicants should preferably have function catering experience.
– excellent organizational and communication skills will be needed to assist in the running of the kitchens as well as ensuring health and safety standards are met.
-You must possess the skills and experience to be in charge of the kitchen operations when the Head Chef is absent.
Hours of Work
This Sous Chef role offers the advantage of being predominantly daytime hours, evening shifts are occasional dependant on functions. Working 5 days out of 7, 40 to 45 hours a week.
