Our client a private members club in Basingstoke, Hampshire are currently looking to recruit a Clubhouse Manager.
As the Clubhouse Manager you key responsibilities will include:
*Managing of the Bar and kitchen areas
*Maintain the Clubhouse areas to a high standard of cleanliness at all times
*Keeping the members in the forefront of your mind at all times
*Ensure that proper presentation and quality of food and beverage standards are being met at all times.
*Implement and enforce policies and procedures regarding proper health and safety practices.
*Controlling food, drink & labour costs by accurately estimating needs and utilizing correct procedures for purchasing and staffing
*Maintain & develop strong relationships with customers / members / team members
*Target where good sales stem from and boost them
*Regular staff training and recruitment
*Identify incremental sales opportunities & maximize sales potential through quality of service.
*Assist in the planning and managing of creative event ideas and themes for members future social events.
*Have a good knowledge base of Budgeting and maintaining good GP levels for sales and stock.
*Maintain the Cellar and all back of house areas to a high level of safety and hygiene, utilising all available training opportunities available.
*Keep a good relationship with current suppliers, whilst keeping an eye on any prospective new products or suppliers.
*Set a high level of self presentation standards for team members to follow.
*Events planning / meeting with clients after initial booking to ensure all details are captured and communicated for a smooth running function.
Successful candidates for this Clubhouse manager role will have:
-Previous Catering & Hospitality Management experience
-Knowledge and understanding of all legislation impacting on the catering provision e.g. licensing, health & safety and hygiene regulations
-Excellent knowledge of all aspects of catering and bar operations, including budgets and margin control, service standards and procedures
-Must be proficient with IT, at a minimum, Microsoft Office and EPOS software.
-Personal License holder and good cellar management skills.
