Our client, an independently owned high quality residential care site near Kingston, is currently looking for a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and to cater for up to 40 residents offering a fresh daily menu of restaurant dining for the residents at the home.
You will be responsible, along with the Head Chef, for catering to residents who have very specific dietary requirements (diabetics, coeliac, vegetarian).
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a professional kitchen, preferably within a care setting. You should naturally have a caring nature and experience of working within a small kitchen and team. Relevant Food Hygiene and safety certificates are essential, as well as good knowledge of special dietary requirements.
Hours are 35 hours a week, daytime shifts including covering the Head Chef’s days off. The working rota will be 3 and a half days a week, including alternate weekends.
